New Wheels

Check out our new wheels! We traded in my Suzuki Aerio for a new car. Cody is now the proud owner of a brand new 2009 Kia Borrego and I am the proud owner of Cody's 2009 Kia Sportage that we bought last October.
We weren't planning on buying a new car today. I was looking forward to planting flowers this weekend but couldn't fit them in my sedan. I asked Cody if I could borrow his car to go get flowers and he told me he didn't want me putting flowers in his new SUV. My thoughts were, "Well if I can't use Cody's SUV to get flowers, I'll just go buy my own d*m# SUV". So a few hours later, here we are.
I prefer to commute daily in the smaller SUV so that's why I'm getting the Sportage and Cody's getting the Borrego. It's an exciting day but also a very sad day. I LOVED my Suzuki Aerio. The poor thing just wasn't big enough for my expanding family. If anyone wants an awesome running 2006 sedan that has less than 50,000 miles on it, go to Doug Smith Autoplex in American Fork. It's the blue beauty with my lip marks and tears still on the driver's side door.

I promise she doesn't cry all the time

Whenever I try to get a picture of Senya and Eisley together, Senya starts crying. I promise she's not crying all the time!

Asher's 2nd Birthday

Asher's 2nd Birthday was a blast. I want to thank all of Cody's family for helping Asher celebrate his big day. You're all so sweet and loving with Asher and he loves you all so much.

We celebrated Asher's birthday at G&G Smith's with G&G Smith, Daddy, Mommy, (Asher), Senny Benny, Uncle Tim, Aunt Heather, Cousin Jalen and Cousin Abbie. He didn't understand what was going on at first but he got a huge grin from ear to ear once we all started singing to him. When the song was over, he started clapping and squeeling. It was really cute.

Asher was spoiled by his relatives. He got books, clothes, a sandbox kit, a fishing pole, shoes, and other presents galore.

I'm very proud of the cake I decorated for Asher. He LOVES trucks so I decorated a cake to look like a cement/rock quarry. I used walnuts for rocks and even had cement coming out of the cement truck! Asher loved it. He was even excited to blow out the candle on his cake.

After presents and cake, we took Asher bowling for the first time. It was right during nap time and he had an absolute meltdown each time we told him it was someone else's turn. He ended up falling asleep in Grandma Carol's lap and that's where he remained until the bowling party was over.

He luckily woke up happy enough to still go to his birthday dinner. We took him to The Mayan and he loved it. He loved watching the divers and the fire dancers.

It was a jam-packed day and we didn't get home until almost 11:00 at night. I can't believe my little Ash Ash is 2 years old already. I remember the night he was born like it was yesterday. I love you, Ash Ash!!!

Dear Asher

Dear Asher,
Happy 2nd Birthday!!!! I love you more than blogger words can describe. I'm so glad you were feeling better so we could celebrate your big day yesterday. Your daddy and I took LOTS of pictures but I can't post them right now because you're awake and wanting me to play with you. I'll post everything from the big day once you're fast asleep.
Love, Mommy

Dr Visit

Asher and Senya went to the doctor last week for Asher's 2 year visit and Senya's 4 month visit. Here are their stats:
Asher Weight: 27.32 lbs (42%)
Asher Length: 37.0 in (97%)
Senya Weight: 19.75 lbs (off the charts)
Senya Length: 27.5 in (off the charts)
Asher was sick with RSV and he luckily never gave it to Senya. I stayed home with him on Monday and Cody stayed home with him Tuesday - Friday. So this explains why he wasn't very happy in these pictures.
